Scouting Goes Hand in Hand with a Busy Life
Scouting is a year–round program allowing youth to participate in multiple youth programs. They may go and come as their schedules allow, understanding that some work may need to be done outside of meetings to stay on track for advancement. We encourage involvement in sports, church, school, fine and practical arts, and any other activity that helps young people develop character and life skills.
And Scouting will always be here when they get back if they have to step away.

Catholic Scouting is Youth Ministry
Catholic Scouting complements Catholic school and parish faith formation efforts – and Catholic Scouting appeals to older children and teens who may not think they are interested in something called youth ministry. Catholic Scouting offers fun and adventure, activities with family and friends, plus service projects and learning opportunities – with faith woven throughout everything Scouts do.
Millions of young people have participated in Catholic Scouting over the past century. Many of them grew up to be leaders in their communities and in the Catholic Church. Catholic Church leaders have long supported Catholic Scouting as an effective way to engage young people, encourage formation in the Catholic faith and help young people develop as good citizens.
Catholic Scouting is youth ministry, leveraging all the time-honored, adventure-filled elements of the Boy Scouts of America, built on Catholic foundation. Catholic Scouting offers comprehensive programming that helps young people develop a fully Christian way of life in the faith community.
