Annual Report

In 2023, Scouts showed up in droves to council events as we marked our council’s 50th anniversary. Our year-long celebration culminated with a council camporee in Ottawa, Illinois, the home of W. D. Boyce, one of the BSA’s founders. With over 700 Scouts and Scouters in attendance, it capped a great year for Scouting in Central Illinois.

As our council grows, so does our diversity. Scouts in our council come from the widest array of backgrounds and experiences in history. Their excitement and enthusiasm continue to drive the programs we offer in ways that will leave an impact on our community for years to come.

Today’s Scouts are a generation of socially-minded, highly-connected entrepreneurs whose values are in direct alignment with the aims and ideals of Scouting.

We’re proud to report this generation of Scouts is ready to take on tough challenges and we are prepared to give them the skills and leadership training they need to accomplish great change! We encourage you to review our 2023 Year At-A-Glance, available here:
