Wilderness Engineers

The Wilderness Engineers are a group of registered adult Scouters who make a hands-on difference for your youth at Ingersoll Scout Reservation. And we come from all parts of the Council, from every branch of the Scouting organization, and from all walks of life.

We have a set schedule of workdays throughout the calendar year. Come join us for one!

Also, our activity is not limited to the scheduled work weekends. Volunteer groups or any size can adopt a project and schedule a time to get it done.

“The efforts supplied by the Wilderness Engineers make a direct contribution to providing a quality camping experience for all of those attending ISR events.”

Any weekend or weekday can be a Wilderness Engineer workday. Simply call Ranger Biggs and let him know your availability. He will let you know what projects are pending. Overnight accommodations can often be provided as well. Come on out and get that feeling of accomplishment, then enjoy the camp setting in the evening!

Cub Scout leaders, we welcome you as well. Wouldn’t it be nice to know you helped in getting the camp ready for your sons and daughters? You also get the added benefit of getting to know adult leaders from throughout the council, as well as getting to know the camp!

How Can You Help?

  1. Sign up for an upcoming ISR Wilderness Engineers Work Day!
  2. Complete and return this Wilderness Engineer volunteer form.

If you can spend just one weekend helping out, or can contribute in another way, “WE” will welcome you with open arms!
