Tent Camping

Come out and tent camp at Ingersoll!  For BSA units tent camping is free, fill out a reservation form to come to Ingersoll, and note where you would like to camp at.  Whether you want to camp right next to your trailer, or have a remote campsite to backpack to along the Cedar Creek Trail we have a prefect campsite for your unit to have an awesome outdoor experince!  

The campsites avaible for year-round camping are:

Buildings

RMS Lodge

Built in 2019 the RMS Lodge is a new year-round lodge to Ingersoll Scout Reservation for groups to enjoy for Winter Camping, to host Council training such as Certified Angling Instructor and Wood Badge, and much more.  Your Pack, Troop, or Crew can have a unit event at Ingersoll in the RMS Lodge

The RMS has 11 rooms which sleeps 4 people per room, 6 bathrooms, a warming kitchen with a residential stove and refrigerator, and a meeting room with projector and screen.  A perfect building to host a Pack Family Campout or a monthly Troop campout.  

Pair it with other great activities ISR has to offer year-round such as: hiking the 2, 5, or 12 mile loops of the Cedar Creek Trail, fishing on Lake Roberts or on the Cedar Creek, rent some mountain bikes to ride on the mountain bike trail or around camp.

Wilderness Training Center (WTC)

The WTC set up for winter camping is a room with 11 bunkbeds in it, an outside portable toilet, a residential stove and refrigerator for cooking inside, table and chairs to enjoy your meals as a unit.  The WTC is heated which makes it perfect for a troop to use as a warm place for a winter campout and to see Ingersoll under snow.  Sled down Dining Hall Hill, build a quinsy or snow sculptures, or with 6″ inches of ice on Lake Roberts go ice fishing!

Camp Office Annex

Known as the STEM Classroom during summer camp the Camp Office Annex is a big room with 10 bunkbeds and two individual bedrooms, residential stove and refrigerator, tables and chairs, and a large front porch.  A great space for units to have a weekend campout and enjoy the wilderness of Ingersoll!

Dining Hall

Need a large meeting space for a Blue & Gold, host a Pack activity, or a great spot for a District BALOO or IOLS training?  This large room is great to host a gathering with the large wood stove heating the room makes for a wonderful space to learn or play.  Equipped with 3″ foam mattress and a residential stove and refrigerator it can work for overnights as well for up to 36 people.  The building is winterized in the cold season so there is a portable toilet outside to use and water for cooking will need to be carried in from an outside anti-frost hydrant.

Shotgun Building

Located in the Northern end of camp the Shotgun Building has 8 bunkbeds in a climate-controlled room, a residential stove, and half refrigerator, with a large porch with picnic tables.  A great place for a unit to cabin camp and enjoy all that Ingersoll has to offer.

North Ridge Family Units

A little more rustic than cabin camping but still more comforts than camping in a tent.  The North Ridge Family Units have 7 screened-in cabins with electrical outlets that sleep up to 4 people each, a nice pavilion for gathering and cooking meals in, and a fire ring to enjoy a campfire.  Right off the North Ridge parking lot,your car can be parked just steps away from the campsite!

Buckskin Family Units

The Buckskin Family Units on South Ridge right by Lake Roberts perfect for hosting a Unit Fishing Derby during a weekend campout!  There are 6 cabins screened-in cabins without electricity that sleeps up to 4 people each.  Buckskin is a little further away from the roads and entrance of the camp, so drop your trailer off for the weekend (pending road conditions) and enjoy a comfortable weekend in the great outdoors.
