To: All W. D. Boyce Council; Boy Scouts of America Volunteers
From: Council Key Three
The last several weeks was a tragic day for Scouting and our neighbors to the West. We want to express our deepest sympathies to the families and to all those affected by this tragedy. We ask that you please keep our fellow Scouts and their families in your thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time for our Scouting family.
In the wake of tragedy at Little Sioux Scout Camp in Western Iowa, and the floods in Waterloo and Cedar Rapids; we want you to know we are looking at emergency preparedness with the utmost seriousness here in the W. D. Boyce Council. Our Risk management committee has reviewed our plans and feel confident we are as prepared as humanly possible.
As we write this, crews in all three councils hit with these tragedy's, continue to asses the needs they have. We stand prepared to assist in any way we can. We will keep everyone up to date via this website and let you know as soon as we have anything in place to assist our neighbors.
Thanks to everyone who has called an offered help.
